Establish Permissions for Analytics for JustFood
To prepare each user to use the Analytics for JustFood Power BI templates with your JustFood database, you must establish permissions. After you establish permissions, you can connect each Analytics for JustFood Power BI template.

These steps are only required the first time that you connect to the JustFood tables.
Prerequisites
Before you get started with Analytics for JustFood, ensure that the following prerequisites have been completed:
OData services are enabled. For more information, see Enable OData Services.
The Power BI Desktop software is installed. For more information see https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/get-started/.
A Power BI account has been created.
The Analytics for JustFood extension has been installed.
The Analytics for JustFood templates have been downloaded.
To establish permissions for Analytics for JustFood
Open the Power BI Desktop software, and then log in to your Power BI account.
The OData URL from JustFood is used to connect Power BI with your database. To copy the OData URL from JustFood, perform the following steps:
Open JustFood.
Choose , enter web services, and then choose the related link.
Search for ibbi.
A list of web services where the Object Name starts with IBBI are displayed.
Under the OData URL heading, right-click a value, and then choose Copy Link.
In the Power BI Desktop software, choose Get Data, and then select Odata Feed.
The Odata feed dialog box opens.
In the URL field, paste the OData URL that you copied from JustFood.
At the end of the URL, delete the information that identifies the web service.
For example, if the URL that was pasted was:
http://amurphy-e560.axentia.ca:7048/DynamicsNAV100/OData/Company('JustFood%20Company') /IBBI_Production_Forecast_Entry
you must remove IBBI_Production_Forecast_Entry so that the OData URL appears as follows:
http://amurphy-e560.axentia.ca:7048/DynamicsNAV100/OData/Company('JustFood%20Company')/
Choose OK.
Power BI attempts to connect to your JustFood database and on the OData feed page, you are prompted to enter permissions.
Enter the table permissions.
Depending on how your database is setup, you must configure the Windows or Basic tab. To configure the Windows tab, perform the following steps:
Select Windows.
Select Use my current credentials.
Choose Connect.
If the Use my current credentials option does not work, try Use alternate credentials or select the Basic tab, and then enter your credentials.
If you are prompted to configure Privacy Levels, choose Organizational, and then choose Save.
Close Power BI Desktop.
Important
Do not apply changes or save anything when you close Power BI Desktop.
You have now established a connection between a specific user and the JustFood database. You can now proceed to connect each Analytics for JustFood template.
