Split a Pick Line
You have the ability to split picks lines from the Guided Pick interface. Splitting a line allows you to pick from bins and lots that were not defined on the pick.
Prerequisites
Floor Guided Interfaces are set up so that most Scan fields are hidden.
One of the following setups exist:
A warehouse shipment was created and Whse. Shipment Pick Creation check box was selected on the JustFood Floor Setup page.
A warehouse pick was created where the Do Not Fill Qty. to Handle check box was selected.
To split a pick line
From the Main Menu, choose Shipping.
Depending on whether a warehouse pick was created, perform one of the following procedures:
If a warehouse pick was not created and the Whse. Shipment Pick Creation check box was selected on the JustFood Floor Setup page, perform the following steps:
Choose Whse. Shipping.
Enter the search parameters, and then choose Search.
Select the warehouse shipment that you want to open.
Choose Open.
If items are available to pick, a warehouse pick is automatically created.
The Warehouse Shipment Lines page opens.
Select the line that you want to pick.
The Guided Pick Entry page opens.
If a warehouse pick was already created, perform the following steps:
Choose Whse. Pick.
The Picks page opens.
To view the list of warehouse picks, enter the search parameters, and then choose Search.
Select the warehouse pick, and then choose Open.
The Guided Pick Entry page opens.
For the first part of the line, perform the following steps:
Enter the bin code.
Enter or scan the item number.
In the Handle Qty field, enter a quantity.
Enter the lot number.
If the item is serial tracked, enter the serial number.
If the item is weight tracked, enter the net weight.
You are returned to the Item No. field.
To split the line, perform the following steps:
Choose the Assist button.
Select Split Line.
Another line is added to the pick.
For the new line, perform the following steps:
To advance to the next line, choose the Next (>) button.
Enter the bin code.
Enter or scan the item number.
In the Handle Qty field, enter a quantity.
Enter the lot number.
If the item is serial tracked, enter the serial number.
If the item is weight tracked, enter the net weight.
You are returned to the Item No. field.
Enter or scan the Place bin.
After all of the lines have been picked, to register the entire pick, on the Pick Entry page, choose Post.
