Scan and Keep the Vendor Label

When a vendor bar code has the required information, you can keep the vendor label, and not be prompted to print a new label.

Prerequisites

• Bar code types are set up to represent vendor labels.

• The scanned bar code has container data (00) or a serial number (21), and the bar code has not been previously used during receiving.

• Floor Guided Interfaces are set up.

To scan and keep the vendor label

If the scanned bar code does not contain all of the required information, such as weight, after you manually enter that information, the information is associated with the bar code and can be used when the bar code is scanned in the future.

1. In the Bar Code field, scan the vendor bar code.

   Floor reads the data in the bar code. If any required information is missing, you are prompted to enter that information.

2. If prompted to enter missing information, enter any required information that is not included in the scanned bar code, and then to advance to the next field, press Enter.

   If more items must be entered for the line, you are returned to the Bar Code field.

3. If you are returned to the Bar Code field, repeat the previous steps.

4. If there are more lines to receive, move to the next line.
