Transfer the Contents of a Container to Another Location
JustFood provides the capability for you to transfer the contents of a container to another location. The container contents can remain in the same container or be transferred to a different container. Also, the container contents can remain in the same bin or be transferred to a different bin.
To transfer the contents of a container to another location
Choose , enter container worksheet, and then choose the related link.
The Container Worksheet page opens.
The Location Code Filter field is automatically populated based on the setup of your User ID.
If required, in the Location Code Filter field, specify a different location than the default.
In the Container Filter field, specify the container number for which you want to move the contents to another location.
On the action bar, choose Process > Load.
Records are loaded for any containers that match the filter criteria.
The records that are displayed in the Container Details list are based on the selected line.
In the Container Details list, for each item that you want to move, select the Action Line check box.
Tip
To move all items, on the action bar, choose Actions > Entries > Select All.
On the action bar, choose Process > Carry Out Action.
The Container Worksheet Journal page opens and displays the lines that were selected on the Container Worksheet page.
In the New Location Code field, specify the new location to which you want to move the container.
In the New Bin Code field, specify the same bin or if you want to move the container contents to a different bin, specify a different bin.
In the New Container No. field, depending on whether you want to move the contents to a new container or an existing container, perform one of the following procedures:
New Container: Perform the following steps:
Choose the AssistEdit button.
The No. Series List page opens and is filtered on the container number series.
To assign a new container number, choose OK.
The No. Series List page closes and in the New Container No. field, the new container number now appears.
Existing Container: Specify the container number that is associated with the target container to which you want to move the contents.
To assign the items to the new container, choose Process > Post.
A dialog box appears and displays the following question:
Do you want to post the journal line?
Choose Yes.
To close the Container Worksheet Journal page, choose Close.
To verify that the contents of the container were successfully moved, on the Container Worksheet page perform the following steps:
In the Location Code Filter field, specify the target location to which you just moved the container.
In the Container Filter field, specify the container number that is associated with the container that you just moved.
On the action bar, choose Process > Load.
The container is listed.
Select the container record.
The Container Details list displays the contents that were moved.
