Pre-Print Bar Codes Labels
JustFood provides the capability for you to pre-print labels that will not have data that is associated with them. When receiving, you can attach a pre-printed label to an item, and as you receive the item in Floor, the data will be associated with the Bar Code and stored in the Bar Code Tracking Entries page. When the pre-printed Bar Code is scanned at a later time, JustFood will find the Bar Code in the Bar Code Tracking Entries page along with the associated data.
Prerequisites
On the Bar Code Setup page, the pre-print settings have been defined. For more information, see Set Up Bar Codes.
To pre-print Bar Code labels
Choose , enter pre-print bar code labels, and then choose the related link.
The Pre-Print Bar Code Labels page opens.
In the Pre-Printed Bar Code Type field, select one of the following values:
Condensed GUID: Prints a 22-character Bar Code, which is a condensed version of the GUID.
GUID: Prints a 36-character (or less depending on the data values) Bar Code.
No. Series: Based on the number series that is selected on the Bar Code Setup page, in the Pre-Print Bar Code No. Series field. When generating a Pre-Printed Number Series Bar Code, JustFood selects the next number in the number series, adds the prefix identifier, and then if Append No. Series Checksum is turned on, adds the checksum digit to the end of the Bar Code.
In the Number of Labels to Print field, enter the number of unique labels that you want to print.
Zero still prints 1 label.
To view the label, choose Send to..., Print or Preview.
