Configure a Plant Device Group

You can configure the behavior of a Plant device group, such as which fields are displayed and whether labels can be printed. After you change the configuration of a device group with a device that is associated with Plant, you must update the configuration from within Plant.

To configure a Plant device Group

  1. Choose Magnifying glass that opens the Tell Me feature, enter plant device groups, and then choose the related link.

    The Plant Device Groups page opens.

  2. Select the plant device group that you want to configure.

  3. On the action bar, choose Process > Configuration.

    The Plant Device Configuration page opens.

  4. On the Material Output FastTab, configure the fields as required.

  5. On the Material Consumption FastTab, configure the fields as required.

  6. To update the Plant configuration, perform the following steps:

    1. Open Plant.

    2. Choose the Plant tab.

    3. Choose Options.

    4. Choose Update Config.
