Create a Plant device

For a work center or a machine center to be displayed in Plant, the center must be assigned in JustFood, to a device.

After you create a Plant device, you can perform the following tasks:

  • You can assign the Plant device to a Plant device group. The Plant device group determines the behavior of Plant, such as which fields are displayed and whether labels can be printed.

  • You can assign work centers and machine centers to the Plant device.

To create a plant device

  1. Choose Magnifying glass that opens the Tell Me feature, enter plant devices, and then choose the related link.

    The Plant Devices page opens.

  2. On the action bar, choose New.

  3. In the No. field, enter the number that will represent the Plant device.

  4. In the Name field, enter the name of the Plant device.
