Preventative Maintenance
The Preventative Maintenance (PM) granule in JustFood provides the capability for you to keep track of maintenance procedures and work orders that ensure machine centers, work centers, and fixed assets are properly maintained. The granule can be used for scheduled maintenance and unscheduled maintenance.
You can set up JustFood to suggest when preventative maintenance is required. Also, JustFood can capture the costs and inventory adjustments that are associated with each preventative maintenance work order, and can provide a record of preventative maintenance activities and plans. These elements are important in the food industry as part of a HACCP pre-requisite program.
The Prev. Maintenance Technician role center can be assigned to the one or more users in your organization that are responsible for managing preventative maintenance processes. Some responsibilities are as follows:
Create PM Procedures.
Review open, failed, and completed PM Work Orders.
Manage periodic maintenance procedures.
View the status of production activities.
The preventative maintenance hierarchy in JustFood is as follows:
The lowest level is the PM Measure Code. PM Measure Codes are the equivalent to tasks that must be completed, or measurements that must be taken.
The next level is the PM Group. PM Groups are attached to PM Procedures with a similar characteristic. PM Groups provide for reporting against like procedures.
The next level is the PM Procedure. A PM Procedure is the combination of Measure Codes that are associated with a work center, machine center, or fixed asset.
The highest level is the PM Work Order. To process a PM Work Order you must create the PM Work Order, associate the work order with a PM Procedure, update the PM Work Order with the results of the completed PM Procedure, and then post the PM Work Order.
