Walkthrough: Perform a Shipping Agent Quality Audit
This walkthrough demonstrates the steps that are required to set up and process a shipping agent quality audit, as well as what happens during that quality audit.
A shipping agent quality audit is a series of tests that must be completed when a shipping agent brings a delivery. The shipping agent’s truck must pass the tests before the truck can be unloaded.

On the Quality Setup page, on the Numbering FastTab, in the Quality Procedure Setup Nos. field, a number series has been defined.

Story
The JF company has purchased some items from the CMS vendor (V11670). The CMS vendor uses the ITC shipping agent. The ITC truck has arrived at the MAIN location, but Helga the warehouse receiver must perform the following checks before accepting the delivery:
Measure the truck temperature to ensure that the temperature is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
The seal number on the truck door.
Setting up a Shipping Agent Quality Audit
To set up a shipping agent quality audit, Helga must perform the following tasks:
For each of the checks that must be performed before accepting the delivery from the shipping agent, Helga must create the following Quality Measure Codes:
Temperature
Seal number
Create a Shipping Agent quality procedure
Assign the Shipping Agent quality procedure to a shipping agent.
The shipping agent will be set up so that when a warehouse receipt is created, a shipping agent quality audit will be automatically created.
To create quality measure codes
Choose , enter quality measure codes, and then choose the related link.
The Quality Measure Codes page opens.
Add the following records:

To add a record, for each record, perform the following steps:
On the action bar, choose New.
In the Code field, enter a code, for example, SEAL.
In the Description field, enter a description, for example, Seal Number.
In the Default Quality UOM field, if required, enter a value.
In the Value Type field, enter a value, for example, Decimal.
To create a quality procedure
Choose , enter quality procedures, and then choose the related link.
The Quality Procedures page opens.
On the action bar, choose New New.
The Quality Procedure Setup page opens.
On the General FastTab, perform the following steps:
In the Description field, enter Shipping Agent.
In the Type field, select Ship Agent.
On the Lines, add the records that appear in the following table.

On the General FastTab, change the Status field to Certified.
To assign a quality procedure to a shipping agent
Choose , enter shipping agents, and then choose the related link.
The Shipping Agents page opens.
For the desired shipping agents, in the QP Setup Code field, select the Shipping Agent quality procedure to be assigned, in this case, ITC.
Turn on Auto-Create QA on Whse. Doc..
This action causes a quality audit to automatically be created when a warehouse receipt is created with the specified shipping agent.
Generate a Shipping Agent Quality Audit
After Helga sets up a shipping agent quality audit, Helga can generate the shipping agent quality audit.
Prerequisites
For this walkthrough, Helga performed the following prerequisites:
On the Vendor Card page for the CMS (V11670) vendor, on the Receiving FastTab, in the Shipping Agent Code field, Helga assigned the ITC shipping agent.
Helga created and released a purchase order for the CMS (V11670) vendor.
Helga ensured that the location that is associated with the purchase order is set up for warehouse receiving because this walkthrough is using warehouse receipts. In this walkthrough, the location is MAIN.
Helga ensured that she was set up as a warehouse employee. To access a warehouse receipt, you must be a warehouse employee.
To generate a shipping agent quality audit
Choose , enter purchase orders, and then choose the related link.
The Purchase Orders page opens.
Select the purchase order that was created for the vendor that has a shipping agent that is associated with the Shipping Agent quality procedure, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > View.
The Purchase Order page opens.
On the action bar, choose Process > Create Whse. Receipt.
The Warehouse Receipt page opens.
A dialog box appears and displays a message that indicates that a quality audit was created.
To close the dialog box, choose OK.
A dialog box appears and displays a message that a warehouse receipt was created.
To close the dialog box, choose OK.
On the action bar, choose Navigate > Receipt > Quality Audits.
The Quality Audits page opens and displays the shipping agent quality audit.
Perform a Shipping Agent Quality Audit
In this walkthrough, the first shipment from the ITC shipping agent failed the shipping agent quality audit because the temperature of the truck was higher than the permitted value. As a result, the following events occurred:
Helga performed a failed shipping agent quality audit.
Helga performed the audit with a handheld device that has JustFood installed. Alternatively, Helga could perform the audit with the Floor application.
Helga, refused the delivery.
Helga deleted the warehouse receipt.
Helga generated a new warehouse receipt and quality audit for the purchase order.
The second delivery passed the quality audit, so Helga was able to perform a passed shipping agent quality audit.
To perform a failed shipping agent quality audit
Choose , enter quality audits, and then choose the related link.
The Quality Audits page opens.
Select the shipping agent quality audit, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > View.
The Quality Audit page opens.
On the action bar, choose Process > Quality Audit Wizard.
The Quality Audit Wizard page opens.
Choose Next.
To enter the number from the seal on the truck door, perform the following steps:
In the Result Value field, enter A1234.
In the Result field, select Pass.
Test Complete is automatically turned on.
Choose Next.
To enter the results for the temperature test, perform the following steps:
In the Result Value field, enter 33 as the temperature of the truck.
The Result field is automatically populated with Fail.
Turn on Test Complete.
Choose Next.
To finish the audit, perform the following steps:
Turn on Post audit on Finish.
Turn on Close wizard on Finish.
Choose Finish.
The quality audit is posted.
Because the TEMPERATURE quality measure was a critical control point, when the TEMPERATURE test fails, the entire audit fails.
Because the delivery is being refused, Helga must delete the warehouse receipt.
To return to the Warehouse Receipt page, close the Quality Audits page.
On the Warehouse Receipt page, to delete the warehouse receipt, choose .
A dialog box appears.
To delete the warehouse receipt, choose Yes.
To perform a passed shipping agent quality audit
Choose , enter quality audits, and then choose the related link.
The Quality Audits page opens.
Select the shipping agent quality audit, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > View.
The Quality Audit page opens.
On the action bar, choose Process > Quality Audit Wizard.
The Quality Audit Wizard page opens.
Choose Next.
To enter the number from the seal on the truck door, perform the following steps:
In the Result Value field, enter XYZ890.
In the Result field, select Pass.
Test Complete is automatically turned on.
Choose Next.
To enter the results for the temperature test, in the Result Value field, enter 27 as the temperature of the truck.
The Result field is automatically populated with Pass.
Test Complete is automatically turned on.
Choose Next.
To finish the audit, perform the following steps:
Turn on Post audit on Finish.
Turn on Close wizard on Finish.
Choose Finish.
The passed quality audit is posted.
The Warehouse Receipt page can now be returned to, and then the warehouse receipt can be received and posted.
View a posted quality audit
If required, a posted quality audit can be viewed.
To view the passed posted quality audit
Choose , enter finished quality audits, and then choose the related link.
The Finished Quality Audits page opens.
Select the passed shipping agent quality audit, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > View.
