Copy Database Data to a Configuration Package
JustFood provides the capability for you to copy database data to a configuration package without having to export the JustFood data to Excel, and then import the data back into JustFood from Excel. After you've copied data to the package, you can delete or edit data from the Config. Package Card page. When copying data to a package, the data is also validated.
To copy database data to a configuration package
Choose , enter configuration packages, and then choose the related link.
The Configuration Packages page opens.
Select the package that contains the tables for which you want to copy data from the database to the package, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > View.
The Config. Package Card page opens.
To copy data from all of the tables in the package, perform the following steps:
Turn on Exclude Config Tables.
This action prevents any associated configuration tables from being added to the package.
On the action bar, choose Process > Get Database Data.
To copy data from the selected tables in the package, perform the following steps:
In the Tables section, select the tables that you want to copy data from.
On the Tables section action bar, choose Functions > Copy Database Data to Package Data.
A dialog box appears.
To continue, choose Yes.
The data is validated as the data is copied. On the Tables FastTab, the No. of Package Records field displays the number of records that were successfully copied, and the No. of Package Errors field displays whether any errors occurred with the copied data.
To edit or delete data, on the Tables section action bar, choose Table > Package Data. After the package data is set up the way you want, you can apply the package, which will update the database data.
