    The Home Menu provides quick access to many Scheduler features.

    The following table includes information about the functions that are available from the Home Menu.

    Function Description
    Calendar Goes to the Calendar view, from which you can view the calendar by day, Next 7 Days, week, month, or timeline.
    List Goes the List view, which displays a list of tasks for the selected view and work or machine centers.
    Refresh View Refreshes the Scheduler calendar. After refreshing, the calendar is updated with any production order changes and Scheduler view changes.
    Refresh All Refreshes the Scheduler View list. If Scheduler Views were added from JustFood, to add the views to the list, choose Refresh All.
    Save View For the selected Scheduler view, saves the following settings:
    • Time Scale

    • Resource Groups

    • Items

    • Calendar view (Day, Next 7 Days, Week Month, Timeline)

    • View Filters (Planned, Firm Planned, Released)

    The next time the Scheduler view is clicked, those settings are automatically applied.

    The last Scheduler view that was open when the Scheduler is closed is the default Scheduler view when Scheduler is reopened.

    Change Company Provides the capability for you to choose a different company.
    Time Scale Provides the capability for you to adjust the time scale for the Day, Week, and Timeline calendar views. The time scale can be in 5, 15, 30, or 60 minute increments.
    Resource Group If you want to show the work or machine lanes on the Day or Week calendar, select the check box.
    Colors Provides the capability for you to apply colors to the production order tasks based on the selected option. If the selected option does not apply to the production order task, the production order task remains in the original color. The following list includes addtional information about colors:
    • None: Removes all colors.

    • Items: Orders with the same item are displayed in the same color.

    • Scheduling Property: Each scheduling property receives a different color.

    • Production Release Category: Each production release category code receives a different color.

    • Production Order: Each production order task receives a different color.

    • Co-products: All orders with the same parent production order are in the same color.

    • Production Order Linking: All orders that are linked by production order linking are in the same color.

    • Due Date: Any production orders, which were created through the Order Planning page or through the Planning Worksheet, that are late, are displayed in red. A production order is considered to be late when the work date and time are past the original due date and time. Note: Production orders that were created manually are not displayed as late.

    • Subcontractors: The production order tasks with the same subcontractors are in the same color. The subcontractor number is defined on the Work Center Card page.

    • Production Order Status: Colors are assigned based on the production order status: Planned, Firm Planned, and Released.

    • Production Order Routing Status: Colors are assigned based on the routing status: Blank, Planned, In Progress, and Finished.

    Day Changes the calendar to the day view.
    Next 7 Days Goes to the Week view, and shows the next 7 days starting with today.
    Week Changes the calendar to the week view.
    Month Changes the calendar to the month view.
    Timeline Changes the calendar to the timeline view.
    Show Shortage Indicators Provides the capability for you to view whether the required items are available to complete the production order. Select a production order, and then, to view the shortage indicators for the production order, choose the Show Shortage Indicators action.
    Today Goes to the current day.
    Auto-Prioritize Provides the capability for you to auto-prioritize production order tasks on a single machine center or work center based on start date or time, production order number, or production order scheduler priority.
    Move Moves a production order task to another machine center. When the action is chosen, a window opens, where you can choose which center you want to move the selected production order to.
    Alternate Routings If alternate routings are set up for an item, to move the production order task to the alternate route, choose Alternate Routings.
    Add Absence Provides the capability for you to add an absence to a center.
    Comments Provides the capability for you to view, add, and edit production and production routing comments related to the selected production order task.
    View Filters Depending on which types of production orders that you want to see on the calendar, select one or more check boxes.
