JustFood provides the capability for you to associate a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) to your item.

To cross reference GTINs to an item

    1. Choose Magnifying glass that opens the Tell Me feature, enter items, and then choose the related link.

      The Items page opens.

    2. Select the item for which you want to create a cross reference, and then on the action bar, choose Manage > View.

      The Item Card page opens.

    3. On the action bar, choose Navigate > Item > Cross References.

The Item Cross Reference Entries page opens.

    4. In the Cross-Reference Type field, select Bar Code.

    5. In the Cross-Reference No. field, enter a valid GTIN.

For GS1 bar codes, the GTIN must be 14 numbers.

      Note

You must enter a valid GTIN, otherwise, the bar code cannot be scanned correctly.

To generate a valid GTIN-14 for test data, go to https://www.gs1us.org/resources/tools/check-digit-calculator.

    6. In the Bar Code Type Code field, select a GS1 Bar Code Type.

    7. In the Unit of Measure field, select the Unit of Measure (UOM) that applies to the GTIN.

All GTINs have their own specific UOM.
