Assign Lot page
The Assign Lot page opens when the following is in place:
On the Lot Algorithms page, the Date to Use field for the item's lot algorithm is Expiration Date or Production Date.
Assign Lot No. is chosen from the Item Tracking Lines page.
The fields on the Assign Lot page are populated as follows:
Field | Description |
---|---|
Document Date | Document date from the journal from which the Item Tracking Lines page was opened. The date cannot be changed. |
Expiration Date | The value is a calculated value. The calculated value can be blank, the document date plus the item's expiration calculation or the production date plus the item's expiration calculation. For example, if the document date is 12/15/2016 and the expiration is 2Y (2 years), the expiration date is 12/15/2018. |
If you manually enter a value, that will override the calculated value.
The calculation is based on the following:
On the Item Card page, the value in the Expiration Calculation field.
On the Inventory Setup page, the value in the Expiration Date Calc. field.
The following lists how the Expiration Date value is calculated based on the value on the Inventory Setup page, in the Expiration Date Calc. field:
Document Date or Production Date If Not Blank: If the production date is not blank, the field is populated with the production date plus the item's expiration calculation. If the production date is blank, the field is populated with the document date plus the item's expiration calculation. If the Production Date field is updated, this field is also updated.
Production Date Only: Populated with the production date plus the item's expiration calculation. If the production date is blank, the field is left blank. If the Production Date field is updated, this field is also updated.
Document Date Only: Populated with the document date plus the item's expiration calculation. If the document date is blank, the field is left blank.
The field cannot be blank when the item's lot algorithm has a value in the Date to Use field, of Expiration Date. The field cannot be blank because the expiration date will be used when creating the lot number.
| | Production Date |Field is blank, and can be changed. If a value is entered, and the Expiration Date field is based on the production date, when you tab off of the Production Date field, the Expiration Date field is updated.
The field cannot be blank if the item's lot algorithm has a value in the Date to Use field of Production Date. The field cannot be blank because the production date will be used when creating the lot number.
